For more than four decades, I have traveled worldwide, photographing nature as my profession and passion. Over this time, I have worked with many of my personal heroes, and I have learned many things from them. I now share what I have learned with others through Little River Photo Workshops in North Berwick, ME.

My colleagues have been my greatest resource in developing my craft, and I have endeavored to do the same for others. I do this as an instructor and leader of photo tours for Lindblad and National Geographic Expeditions, but for some time now, I have had the idea of a place devoted to the art of photography. It is a place where people can come, learn, and share their passion for visual arts. A few years ago, I got the chance to make this happen and purchased a place rich in photographic opportunities.
Unwind Through Photography
The Farm at Little River Photo Workshops is seven acres of woodlands, wildflower meadows, and the picturesque Little River. The property has been two years in the making as we worked hard to plant gardens, make trails, and develop an ideal place for photographing the nature of Maine. Although most of our workshops are held at the farm, we are situated in an area that gives us access to many other photographic opportunities. From the colorful villages of coastal Maine to the fall colors in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and the beautiful countryside around us, we have a beautiful background to learn photography.
We are constantly upgrading the property. This year, we doubled the size of our wildflower meadow to make it more attractive to the pollinators. We have planted more shrubs to make it more of a habitat for the many birds we find on the property, and we have created more photographic opportunities, like our bird feeding stations.
